www.Disilgold.com- HEATLIST COUNTDOWN- Heart Attack Travesty for Father of Sean Levert Boys & Calling for All Black Men

Eddie Levert Senior recently lost his son,  SOUL R& B crooner Gerald Levert. They had just recorded an album and new book, “I Got Your Back” that became a national bestseller.  Now another one of his son’s , the youngest Levert, was recently jailed for failing to pay 80,000 in back child support payments to the mother of his child who fought tirelessly to recover  excessive funds from Sean Levert. The music community and fans alike are shocked and disheartened.

#10- Elissa Gabrielle- NEW POST- TRIUMPH OF MY SOUL EDITED BY ELISSA GABRIELLE is a bonafide winner. Congratulations to all featured authors. A magnificient work has arrived!

#9- Robert G. Lopez, owner of MONSTA NEWS sends a Cease and Desist Letter to Monsta Mag to shut down the magazine for trademark infringement.  Dave Mays and Benzino who launched Monsta Magazine with The Game on the first cover could be sued for millions and risk losing much more after a former successful sexual harrassment lawsuit. Reportedly, karrine Steffans was supposed to be a columnist for the publication.

#8- Black Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is charged with perjury. He was Detroit’s youngest elected leader, but now disgraced with many counts of an affair with TOP AIDE Christine Betty. Perjury is punishable by 10 to 15 years in prison. All came to light when a security unit claimed they covered up extramarital affairs of the married mayor with two children. Kilpatrick is confident he will be vindicated of all charges and refuses to leave office. From Clinton to Spitzer and Patterson to Kilpatrick. WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW!  Politics is heading for a TKO! Who will be 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th.  Human’s are out of control.

#7 Al Capone’s daughter, Deirdre  M. Capone, writes tell all book about Uncle Alphonse Capone in new book, Untouchable, a must read account on the life of a young girl born to the mob.

#6-Uh oh! Remember when we asked who is Remy Ma since we haven’t seen her around lately? Well, the young hip hop princess has been fighting for her life in courts for supposedly loading and pulling the trigger and firing at Makeda Barnes claimed to have attempted to steal her money for a bag. The Hip Hop community has not even stepped up to save their princess. TRAITORS! Everyone has been solemn instead of raiding the courts in protest to prevent this creative and talented women’s rise and fall from fame to self-desruction. With record companies hoarding artists with fake credit, and not real money which artists realize they have to work beyond talent to survice before the royalties kick in, it is evident that artists fight, cuss, and risk their life for chump change because they don’t have much until they get over that hump. It’s obvious or blame the mentality of the HIP HOP COMMUNITY which many believe fuels violence. Everything moves fast like lightning. Most artists break because their egos get blown up. Now she may have to face the slammer and really had a bright future. The song, I’m Conceited, was like an underground cult classic just for the ladies of hip hop. Money is the root of all HIP HOP evil.

#5- Reverend Jeremiah Wright stole 15 minutes of fame from Obama and is now more famous than any other pastor right now by default. The message I learned from his speech was, put a stake in your brother’s heart and win. There are going to be heavy reprecussions for this profoun d mistake. Already God has made the biggest glacier cap in Antartica break off 15 years before predicted. The last sin is when a black man betrays another black man. I’m just speaking the conscious of the people. Everyone loves Pastor Wright and is at home still laughing and in disbelief because if Obama was able to handle that than he can handle CAIN, who folks are saying is living vicariously as a scorned P.O.W. who may be the prez to puch the button. Folks have to stop thinking that because someone is experienced, they are smarter, someone is richer, they will give to the poor and because someone has gone to war, they are going to avoid war. Like credentials, breed like catastrophes, You’ve been in a war, you’re going to bring on war. You’ve been around peace, you’re going to bring peace. Obama has to be strong and not let NEGATIVITY destroy his shine! It’s time for a new generation to come along and fight for a new tomorrow.

#4- Hillary Rodham Clinton was a courageous woman to run for presidency of the United States. The Black community does admire her strength and tenacity to endure all she has been through, but her extensive campaigning from city to city has put a toll on her physically, mentally, socially and cognitively.  We all know she’s a smart woman, caring and probably could bear the humanity side of politics by giving a caring hand where America needs it most and that is a strong bolster in the educational system, but she has made too many mistakes and today, she reached the last mistake by refusing to give up her bid  prolonging a dragging a Democratic feud while Cain now polishes his image with old war stories evoking fear among Americans.  If a Democrat doesn’t win the November primaries, America loses, period. Folks haven’t been doing their homework. They have been focusing on issues that don’t matter. If America’s budget isn’t fixed, recession is here like a silent plague no one ever saw coming  because if the poor aren’t nurtured, crime takes over right in wealthy folk’s back yards.  Thse urban youth want change and jobs now. Crime is increasing and getting out of hand in urban cities. Yoiu can’t lock up all troubled youth and throw away the key, or maybe America can since life sentences for youth are now in effect for committing serious crimes in some states. I am afraid the Democrats won’t have much time to address any issues before the November primaries and may forfit a bid at all for the White House.

#3- You saw Corinne Bailey Rae on Oprah a while back as a potential Grammy winner. Well, Jason Rae was found dead in England. It is still unclear how he died or whether he may have been issued a lethal dose of drugs from a drug dealer.

#2- Tyler Perry’s new hit, MEET THE BROWNS scores big at Number 2 with over 20 million loyal movie goers, but did the cast deliver? Angela Bassett stole points and always does. Rick Fox , a basketball coach is your save-all wanna-be hero designed to help Brenda’s son, Michael (Played by Lance Gross) get a lucrative career, and all while she fighting her ex. There’s comedy on overload with Tyler’s clever antics such as a surprise appearance by MADEA and you just know the movie, MADEA GOES TO JAIL is coming soon. Tyler is the bomb, in charge of Hollywood and not slowing down. You can always count on a light-hearted giddy movie from the mysterious producer that makes you smile, and while not as fanciful produced as his prior movies, MEET THE BROWNS delivers just enough to get folks who haven’t seen the hit, to come out and find out just who THE BROWNS are. Model Eva Pigford was thrown in for eye candy this time  following a trend in Tyler’s movies to grab beautiful talent. Hmmm, looks like he’s shopping for a leading lady! No one’s mad. It’s the best way to find out who you want. Next thing you know there will be a CAST A MATE reality show where actresses are casted by producers who are really searching for a wife.

#1- What news will make No. 1 on this day?

www.Disilgold.com-THE HEATLIST COUNTDOWN- Hillary Clinton Purposely Bows Out of Bid for President with Slip Up It Seems

There is no way in heaven Hillary could have believed her own lie of attending the middle east and ducking low to dodge fire. It is obvious now, that she has been on the Democratic bid to diffuse votes away from Barack Obama. She had to know the press from her attendance to the middle east would creep back to bite her in her leg amd just to keep things g-rated here. If this isn’t self sabotage than I don’t know what is. The republicans are obviously working with Hillary’s side and it really doesn’t matter which side wins just as long as Barack doesn’t win. Just look at how many turn coats have now joined Obama suddenly or are they friendly supporters? It’s hard to tell. Obama shouldn’t trust anyone affiliated with anyone political to put it bluntly. He may want to join forces with an anchor woman who kn ows news and place her in the bid for vice presidency in my opnion. Most newscasters are trustworthy and honest. Their jobs would be on the line. All in all,  when a political leader turns away from his original party affiliate to side with a black man, that must a decoy trying to infiltrate the Obama base. I’m not saying Richardson is a turn coat. He seems like a nice man, but he was a Clinton supporter. Hmmmm as Arsenio Hall would say when a toddler. LOL.  Desperation is growing because no one ever thought Barack would get this far and beat the electorate system.  Darn it, the HILL with a BUSH on it were part of the same scenery all along? And is America the butt of a political joke.  How do you make up a story about ducking from arms way and no weapons were ever present in the town Hillary visited and not only pleasant, but there was a follw-up music performance and welcome ceremony? Let me throw on  a 50 Cent song right and just let this on e go.  I think Hillary might as well be a movie star. She’s becoming a rock star right before America’s eyes. And Pastor Wrights comments were takin g all out of context. He was taking in third person like most preacher’s do and reflecting on the collective conscious, but it sure did sound bad to those who don’t get it.

Co-founder & Owner, The Black Library Bookseller

The literary world is losing an irreplaceable soldier and a true friend.  Lloyd supported and helped so many African American authors stage their voice to an audience.  He wasn’t just the co-founder and owner of The Black Library Booksellers, but a pioneer in the Urban Book movement that bridged the gap between traditionally published authors, small press and under promoted self published authors.  His down to earth spirit and hard work ethic made him a gem in the literary industry.

When I first met Lloyd 4 years ago after contacting him to do a booksigning at the Black Library Booksellers, he helped me carry and unload my books to sell that day.  He knew I was shy and green when it came to promoting, so he grabbed customers for me and would say, “Did you meet Nishawnda, she is a talented local author signing her books today.”  From then on, I not only built a business relationship with  Lloyd but I came to call him my friend.  He later would help me contact authors for the Boston Book Bazaar, introduced me to Carl Weber and was the Bookseller vendor for the Boston Book Bazaar every year.  That is how I will remember him, always supportive, always down for a sistah, always unselfish and kind.

The literary community has lost a great man.  And I will miss him dearly.
Sincerely,

Nishawnda Ellis

There will also be vendors of a great variety and Chef Red will be cooking up the best Bar B Que in town.

This is by no means all of the activity that you can expect at this event. We have more on the horizon leading up to this Augusta Renaissance experience. We are working diligently to create a unique cultural and empowering event; designed to help people connect in a meaningful way with others who share their passions, and understand their visions.

We also recognize that these people need to meet you, as many of our journeys are parallel. One of the key objectives is for more of us to become involved in the spiritual, economic and creative success of our community. So bring your friends, bring your family, bring your out of town guests, but more importantly bring your vision…it may be the very vision this city has long waited for. Come enjoy great entertainment by some of the areas best, make a meaningful connection and move towards your next level.

What you don’t expect is the “Secret.” The truest spirit of Augusta Renaissance, our Butterfly Effect, can only be experienced not explained. Those who know; KNOW. There is a Renaissance in Augusta. On April 10th Opportunity meets Preparedness. Come experience the Augusta Renaissance. Then the evidence will be clear!!

The Butterfly Effect April 10th 7pm at the Julian Smith Casino.

Vendors are Welcome (Vending Fee $50)

What is Augusta Renaissance?
Yea, Yea, the community has been buzzing about this thing called the Augusta Renaissance. Is it an email thing, some idea about people helping people, or maybe some pie in the sky economic development idea that has no real merit? The truth is….

We are an action-oriented collective of businesses and individuals who are motivated spiritually around the “idea” (Augusta Renaissance) of excellence for each individual and the group. We are a collaborative of creative-minded, forward thinking and spirit-led professionals. Many of us are engaged in the various arts industries, small business and community development organizations. There is no president, no dues or fees. You become a member by believing. Do you believe?

We are thinking, planning and executing our visions, individually and with others, to promote the spiritual, economic and cultural health of our community. We believe in many different ways that this is a period of unprecedented renewal (a renaissance) that is limited only by our thinking, our beliefs and our efforts. There is a Renaissance in the greater Augusta area.
Faith without works is dead!

10- Oh no! Are Google. Microsoft & Yahoo using people online to target advertising?

Insight: According to the New York Times, a law is being pushed to ban the practice by Richard L. Brosky. Phorm tracks every single online action based on customer’s Internet Service Provider and may be negotiating deals with AT& T, Verizon and Comacast. This means Big Brother is watching and for you  cyber babies who don’t know who that is, read George Orwell’s classic, 1984 and get educated.  After all, EZPASS and your Blackberry already makes you accessible when Big Brother wants to find you, but don’t be alarmed. If you happen to wind up lost, maybe someone can find you.  I just wonder of Timothy Berners Lee, who created the World Wide Web knew he was creating a monster. Be careful where you travel online and do watch for sites that alllow third party clicks which Phorm can’t decipher and so you look like a direct user who is innocent of just visiting a stupid site with all of those spyware, phishing and automated banners that track you better. Luckily, you are just a number in the system and no, your name and personal info doesn’t pop up, but it’s all just a nuisance like all of those cameras they are installing around New York since the World Trade Center. If you are a cheater, you could get caught up in a high tech probe if street camera footage can be subpoenaed for court hearings.
9. Actor Brad James is finalizing on lead role in play.

INSIGHT: This week marks his final week as the Magazine Award Cover feature attraction for MARCH at www.Disilgold.com. Already, the ladies are in mourning and saying oh no, please leave him on longer, but sorry fam, we have to let this  fine actor go free because he is the NEXT HOLLYWOOD star on the rise and don’t say we didn’t tell you so fam. Expect to see brad in big projects. He’s an over all very nice man who is very serious about his acting. We are going to debut a video to prolong his stay on the headline page by popular demand.
8. Singer Mario wipes his brow with dancing partner’s outfit on Dancing With the Stars. How  Charming!

INSIGHT: Mario is a natural dancer and did a great job on Dancing With the Stars, but got slack from one of the judges  for being too stocky, but that sleevless tuxedo was a stunner. I almost forgot the kid could sing. Add a charming personality and a star is born. He clearly received the top votes from all of the dancers. My suggestion is that Mario, only 21, seem less anxious and acknowledge the presence of his partner. It was almost as if he was awaiting results on just his dancing. He will need to pay hommage to his dance instructor a bit, and most of all apologize for wiping his brow on her outfit. While charming and quite funny, it may leave an image of  chauvinism. He’s young, so I am sure he didn’t mean it. 21 year old men have the quick and indecisive thinking. Go light with humor media. He’s a kid and a sweety.
7. The literary world morns the  passing of renown Founder of www.theBlackLibrary.com, Lloyd Hart.

A man who spent his life devouted to promoting books, passed away this past weekend. Please visit the site to see the illustrious work of this man. May Mr. Lloyd Hart’s work live on a legacy born from a dream. RIP LLOYD HART.
6. Director Rel Dowdell of RelDowdell.com is historically acknowledged in biography of the late Esther Rolle of GOOD TIMES.

Insight: You haven’t seen the movie on DVD, TRAIN RIDE yet. You don’t know what you are missing. Okay, after you buy the movie, let’s talk about all of the stars that have risen from this movie!
5. What’s going on with Vivica Fox.? She has a post on her site stating she is not in a play from ImReadyproductions.com, but she’s on the producer’s book, Men, Money & Gold Diggers.

INSIGHT: WELL?
4. An Exclusive Interview with Actor Rick Fox, America’s new Hearthrob

Okay, S2s has some nice photos, but this photo of Rick on www.Disilgold.com is THE PICTURE!
3. An Exclusive Interview with Thandie Newton.

INSIGHT: Good to see Thandie doing her thing. She is your onlyh actress out there who can play those wretched roles. Did you see her in The Pursuit of Happyness. Go ahead and order your Blue Ray movie and watch it!
2. Cydney Rax delivers another million dollar bestseller,  My Best Friend and My Man and folks are talking. Wait until you see the cover.

INSIGHT: Not only is Cydney one of the hottest authors on the scene, but she has another winner. Fam, if you don’t read the book, we can’t talk.

THE BLACK LIBRARY was founded in 1993 by Kevin L. Fisher & Lloyd E. Hart, Jr (Click Boston Sunday Globe Article). This organization evolved out of our interest and love of reading, particularly African American literature. Locally we found a lack of supply and variety of such literature. Therefore, we started gathering African American literature form sources in and outside the greater Boston area. We soon amassed a sizable inventory and were able to serve our friends and associates in the (Black) community. This naturally evolved into what is now THE BLACK LIBRARY BOOKSELLERS.

THE BLACK LIBRARYS mission is one we found people can understand and relate to very easily. We will provide the community with a bookseller who understands their need for a personal service which extends far out side the normal/traditional retail setting (store). We will attempt to bring Black Literature to those who can and want to read, at an affordable price. The lovers of reading will have a bookseller that looks, thinks and talks about the similar issues which are effecting them. We will make it a easy to purchase any black book in print and have it delivered in Boston & Cambridge, Massachusetts, at a $2.00 fee. We will also provide them with a book list that is informative. Orders can be placed by phone. And arrangements can be made to use our mail order service (at a minimal costs). THE BLACK LIBRARY is always open to suggestions from our customers in order to provide them with the best services a bookseller can offer. Being open minded has led to our NEW service, BOOK PARTIES. Email blacklib@theblacklibrary.comTHE BLACK LIBRARY  booksellers are brothers who care about bringing black books to the community, so people can be better informed about issues effecting them.

THE BLACK LIBRARY would like to express thanks to our customers who have used our Book Party service as a way to bring family & friends together for some entertainment, conversations and book buying. We hope that more of you will use this service when planning get-together and barbecues this spring and summer. Remember the host of the party can get up to 4 free books.

THE BLACK LIBRARY is open to suggestions from our customers in order to provide them with the best services a bookseller can offer. Being open minded has led to our NEW service, BOOK PARTIES. We will provide our customers with services not readily available in traditional book stores. THE BLACK LIBRARY’S booksellers are brothers who care about bringing black books to the community, so people can be better informed about issues effecting them.

We promote the often used phrase “PASSING IT ON“.

www.Disilgold.com- THE HEATLIST COUNTDOWN- Patterson sworn in today as Governor of New York but can he make the deadline for a budget in two weeks!

Eliot Spitzer steps down as a disgraced governor and Patterson steps in as the first black governor of New York, but there may not be any time to celebrate. New York faces the biggest budget deadline in its history. Without a budget, the city looms with a possible recession. Patterson says he is embraces his disability as a legally blind citizen and New York has embraced it as well. He may very well be the man to get New York back on track.  It’s about time people see beyond disabilities of individuals and let the best man do the job. No pun intended toward Hillary Clinton at all.

www.Disilgold.com- THE HEATLIST COUNTDOWN- Baby News- HALLE BERRY

Halle Berry gave birth to a girl on  Sunday, March 16, 2008, with Model and actor Gabriel Aubry who met while filming a Versace ad. Halle Berry first appeared on a Different World sitcom and then got a feature role as a very convincing  crack head in a Spike Lee movie of which she admits she didn’t bathe for days. Her role was so great, a string of movies followed pursuit like Strictly Business catapulting her to superstar status overnight along with a B rated movie with Bruce Willis as a call girl.

She also, appeared in a flop called BAPS, but had won over the black audience as a  trendsetter. Her short crop hairdo and knock out figure became all the rage and her bi-racial mix gave young girls from bi-racial parents self-esteem.She appeared in Monster’s Ball which was a courageous effort for her to appear nude.  She won an Oscar for her role in the Dorothy Dandridge story making her one of the first black actresses to win a lead actress award since Cicely Tyson. She also, invested all of her money in  that role, but look at Halle Berry today.

Surviving circumstances of past abuse at the supposed hands of a black  male celebrity which left her partially death in one ear, she has been linked to men like Christopher Williams, Westley Snipes, David Justice and Eric Benet. One evening she encountered a bad accident that left a victim severely injured. Media reported she left the scene to get stitches for her head and rightfully so. Any minute longer and she could have suffered a brain hemmorage and died with the blood lost. Delirious and not in any condition to think about her actions, but just get help and presuming other troubled circumstances, the world forgave Halle Berry who tried to make a comeback with movies like Catwoman that failed miserably. However, her performance in Oprah’s Zora Neale Hurston’s movie Their Eyes Were Watching God adapted from the book, clearly showed that HALLE BERRY is one of the best actresses of our era and here to stay.

Her bouts with Diabetes make her a role model for all women young and mature. Her personality is incomparable and why Halle’ s name today symbolizes beauty.  With no efforts to marry the father of her child whom she shares a spiritual bond with, Halle redefines the family nucleus with an equation that spells JOY!

She mentioned how important it is to treasure each day as if it were your last and never give up on your dreams. She talked about her struggles to promote her poetry on the streets of New York and the negativity she faced as a youth up into teenagehood as well as her mother’s struggles raising two youth on her own and the recent illness of her father who only has 2 months to live and why she promised she would move full speed ahead to succeed as an indpendent publisher in keeping her promise to be more than  an educator She also, mentioned how sometimes talent supercedes good luck and when it’s your time to shine, the forces who can help you will appear as long as you just keep being the best YOU by staying focused.

As she turned the pages of her book, Literary Divas, the audience cheered on Literary Divas like Alice Walker, Candice Dow, Terry a. O’Neal,  Kim Robinson, Gina Cox, Cherlyn Michaels, Sonia Sanchez, Toni Morrison, Jada Pinkett Smith, Nancey Flowers, Wendy Williams, Tee C. Royal, Carol Mackey and Iman. Heather discussed how if she could she would have placed 1000 divas in her book, but she had to go with author’s whose works she was able to read as a responsible historian and editors who make books better an d more markeatable. Literary Divas also features authors of the Diaspora and authors GONE TO SOON!

Heather Covington stressed the relevance of Literary Divas to African American history as many treasured historians like Lerone Bennet Jr. who will be honored this year at the African American Pavilion Awards for BookExpo in L.A.

Already, Literary Divas is utilized as a history book for libraries nationwide, referred to by librarians for easy reference and colleges are mandating the book for course studies and research. Heather Covington adds new Literary Divas to her website at www.LiteraryDiva.com which conceived the LITERARY DIVAS BOOK TOUR which took off at lighning speed with BOOK PARTIES online and now dubbed as Heather Covington’s Literary Divas Book Tour due to many synonymous titled events which fans mentioned they were disappointed when Heather was not present, and to no fault of  the author who did not plan any large Literary Diva events other than tour events mentioned on her personal website at www.Heather-Covington.com. A private person who shuns advertising her every event, but will gain media for support of literary artists she promtoes,  she hosts mainly local workshops in her hometown, but is set for a 20 City National BookTour in 2008 which has alrerady begun thanks to the Disilgold Book Mobile Express.

The author was overwhelmed with joy when alma mater highschool friends and many Co-op residents came out to support and even past staff of schools she’s attended in the Bronx. This event had the shortest notice from any events ever placed online at www.Disilgold.com which is a rarity due to the author’s busy schedule and who prefers mailing invitations. Already, Literary Divas is one of the most requested reference books and it looks like the Literary Divas are making history.

Heather Covington’s guest appearance marks the beginning celebration of a New York Public Library $1 Billion Transformation Plan to build a Fifth Avenue Urban Library, Large Hub Libraries in the Bronx, Manhattan and Staten Island. A new expanded digital resource library will increase access to library collections and a $100 Million Gift from Harvard grad Stephen A. Schwarzman with unrestricted donation will be implemented to serve the growing public. This plan is a dream come true for inner city youth who are excited about the new computers along with an expert staff. Furthermore, $300 million for endowment funds will be utilized for educational outreach programs.

The response to Heather Covington’s motivational  message as a rising poet to a self-published author having penned a former tv show  for one season upon the suddent termination of a popular network, and succesful relaunch of her own publishing company to introduce her children’s, poetry and novel line of books from the Disilgold Publishing collection was received so well by guests like Margot, Paulette, Renee, Ruth, Elaine, Donna, Paul Bennett, Jermaine, Marie, E.K. Woodley, Morton, Lenore, Mollie, Kenny, June, and Trudy; Donna Pesce,  a Baychester Library Branch Advisor asked Heather to formulate a program for teens every week which is the audience the author has been on a mission to reach to give motivation to write, pen a book and overcome self-esteem issues.

Irina Kuharets, who booked Heather Covington presented flowers to the Literary Diva as  local paparazzi and guersts amicably took photos all in fun of a treasurable Bronx event made possible by the New York Public Library Baychester Branch and topped with a message by a guest who before leaving with his son asked Heather, “Do you know the meaning of love?” He then responded with the words, “You are love and I love you! Live on your dream sister!”- Paul Bennett (Father, Spiritualist and Motivational Speaker). The Women’s History Event Marks the very beginning of Heather Covington’s Library Tour. She’s visiting colleges, youth programs, the nation’s top organizations and anywhere where readers respect the history of African-American literature and authors as more than just bestselling machines, but true writers of this era making history!
