HEATLIST COUNTDOWN # 19-  For Immediate Release: Author Mychal Simonz New Book, Maybe Tomorrow: Surviving Against the Odds Delivers a Poignant Auto-biography About  Acquiring Success Despite a Life of Pain and Struggle as a Youth

Title: Maybe Tomorrow: Surviving Against All Odds

Author: Mychal Simonz

Publisher: Faithnote Press

ISBN: 978-1-4243-3968

Price: $20.00

Where does a man turn who has been faced with many adversities from drug and alcohol abuse to homelessness and a childhood full of sexual abuse?

Maybe Tomorrow takes an inside look at the life and times of Mychal Simonz, a very successful musician and songwriter who has written a novel that encomapasses truths along with a heartwarming story that delivers and will keep you turning each page to find out just how much Mychal has endured. Brace yourself, Maybe Tomorrow is no joyride and as humorous as it may seem as Mychal shares the story of promiscuous situations, not every young man is enlightened by sexual advances before they are ready and many traumatized.

Usually women are the subject of being abused in modern day tales, but in Maybe Tomorrow, readers get to see how men feel about abuse the other way around.  A well-written and fast paced page turner, Mychal has a promising career as a writer. His work reads like a modern day tale, but embedded is truth that will shock readers.

Disilgold Soul Magazine highly recommends this book for both male and female readers. It is available through the author’s website at www.mychalsimonz.com. And yes, he has worked with all top groups and artists in the music industry, but his one book may surpass his success as a musician for readers are intrigued to read personal memoirs of accomplished artists and what it took to get them there. I regret to admit that it took pain and struggle, but hopefully Mychal is in a better place because his book receives 5 stars from Disilgold Soul Literary Review across the board. HONEST. POIGNANT, MASTERFULLY WRITTEN!

Mychal Simonz is represented by Ms. Noelle Sewell of Faith & Knowledge in Action, Inc. Email faithknowledgeaction@gmail.com or call 1.215.635.2207

*****5 STARS- Disilgold Soul Literary Review Magazine YOUnity Reviewers

Reflection from founder: I would like to see this artist gain voice throughout radio networks and encourage more artists who have been abused to come forward and share their stories.

HEATLIST COUNTDOWN #17- For Immediate Rekease: Kevin M. Weeks Hits the Big Time with an Exclusive Article in Colorlines Magazine Pinpointing the Heavy Hitters in Urban Literature

Urban literature exploded onto the literary scene in the early 2000′s reviving the aftermath of Donald Goines novel works, but with more high-end street appeal mixed with bling, a revolution in HIP HOP and political fire hidden in books. Call it a conspiracy that America can’t seem to keep up with  as fast as new novels roll in, those in the game of publishing of urban books understand the concept of supply and demand as mostly young adults flock to stores to for a quick reading fix making urban books something of a phenomenon no one ever saw coming. Enter Kevin M. Weeks, based out in Atlanta who delivers quality literature straight from his jail cell, but with a team of professionals who believe in his work to the full degree that he may very well be the most successful inhouse lit aritst to arrive.  A candid article by Colorline Magazine gets under the mind of Kevin M. Weeks, and folks are saying a HIP HOP SHAKESPEARE OF PEN has not only arrived, but is sweeping the urban arena with the kind of class people just don’t expect from urban authors where the rule is divide and conquer and friendly fire is to be taken literally in this highly competitive arena where only the CLASSY will reach the top. Kevin name drops the kings and queens of urban lit that reads like a must read article you’ve been waiting for and now its here. Disilgold Soul gives the article 5 stars for its in depth overview of what’s really going down in the urban arena. Check it out here! And by the way, Kevin M. Weeks now has 2 books directly in competition with one another on his online store at www.thestreetlifeseries.com.

HEATLIST COUNTDOWN # 16- For Immediate Release: Actor Brad James stars in new movie CHAMPION ROAD- JULY 2008 RELEASE

EXCLUSIVE PRE-REVIEW OF CHAMPION ROAD STARRING BRAD JAMES

An American MASTERPIECE with HIGH ENERGY and an EXPLOSIVE ALL-STAR CAST ready to sweep the country is born…

Champion Road is what HOLLYWOOD BOX OFFICE HITS are made of….a true American MASTERPIECE with EXPLOSIVE ENERGY and an IMPECCABLE ALL-STAR CAST filled with TRIUMPHANT VICTORY against all odds that will BLOW YOU AWAY from the very beginning to the very last second.

BRAD JAMES, the lead actor in the film, delivers a stellar performance that is MAGNETIC, IMPECCABLE, and POWERFULLY ALLURING in his debut leading role.

Brad James character finds out his mother has treatable cancer, but at a cost of over 20,000. Living in a moderate income home with a sub-serving father who can’t seem to get up enough money for initial treatments to begin, he becomes a violent and prized-street fighter to earn fast money.

In optimal shape, carved, chisled and lean like a modern day Bruce Lee, he’s vulnerable and intent on saving his bi- mother’s life. From a bi-racial family, his quest is authentically driven, compassionate and INTENSE. Brad James leading character role is fine-tuned and seasoned with precision and in a class all by himself.

The movie, CHAMPION ROAD, leaves watchers craving for a TRIUMPHANT VICTORY against all odds in search of SURVIVAL of a loved one… and even if it means GIVING UP one’s soul as the last resort!

“How far will a man go to save a loved one” is the question pounding from movie previews, but Champion Road delivers the answer with full force and HEART-POUNDING action. You are in for a powerful thrill-ride.

BRAD JAMES has sculpted himself into a MODERN DAY action hero in just one movie and will undoubtedly become the No.1 grossing actor of this era poised with CONFIDENCE,FOCUS and the kind of roving acting ability not witnessed since Al Pacino’s performance in Scarface heralding him as “THE ACTOR” without contest.

PRAISE for the MOVIE OF THE YEAR! Champion Road has the kind of CUTTING EDGE DRAMA that will leave you holding on to the edge of your seat. However, it’s uncertain if Brad’s lead character will make it to the end. You will feel each body blow he takes in total empathy for his plight that every human being can relate to.

CHAMPION ROAD is a TRIUMPHANT VICTORY against all odds in search of SURVIVAL of a loved one… and even if it means GIVING UP one’s soul as the last resort! Find out just how far you can travel down CHAMPION ROAD… one of the MOST ANTICIPATED MOVIES OF THE YEAR! Brad James has what it takes to bring CHAMPION ROAD to NO. 1!

Was Usher’s performance on Dancing With the Stars his prime time return to super-stardom beyond number one record sales for his latest album? DLNA Pollers speak out!

icon1 Posted by prqueen in BREAKING NEWS on 05 22nd, 2008 | 76 Comments

FULL STORY: SEE PHOTO ON WWW.DISILGOLD.COM TODAY!

MAY 23, 2008- With only a few days of announcement regarding Usher’s guest performance on Dancing With the Stars by major networks, hysteria heated up chat rooms and message boards with heavy anticipation.

A child prodigy, Usher exploded onto the music industry with controlled poise and charisma along with chart topping album-after-album  sales that had music lovers not only comparing his dance moves to other artists, but placing this modern day Fred Astaire of R& B artist as a top contender among all dance artists present and in the past. Just check out the artist’s past albums. You won’t be able to stop listening to every album from beginning to end.

The only difference is this boy wonder icon is now a full grown man with stronger vocals, more effortless and lethal dance moves, a teasing beard over a forever young face, and the kind of confidence in his voice that gravitates listeners and even if his lyrics to his latest hit are taboo!

His number one song topping BillBoard Charts is “Love in this Club,” and while a bold and forbidden  notion in any modern day family household, you can expect for grandma, mother, daughter and her newborn to be singing Usher’s catchy and contagious lyrics.

Viewers of Dancing With the Stars held their breath wondering if Usher would as folks say in media say, “Do the darn thing!” Well, not only did Usher do his thing, but he won over new fans. In fact, folks who were convinced that Kristi Yamaguchi would take over the  show’s season finale, actually flipped the channel after Usher performed because on that night, Usher was the winner of “Dancing With the Stars!”

Most of his fans will just have to get use to the pounds and muscle Usher has put on lately because to do Usher’s moves, you have to be a heavyweight on the dance floor. The new move hands down is Usher’s “Piano Keys” Wave dance. You have to have strong legs first of all, keep your balance, and confidence to pull off that move.

Right now, the only artist that can possibly compete at Usher’s level with comparable dance moves is Chris Brown, but Usher certainly has more grace as a seasoned artist, and I am sure Chris Brown will agree.

Friendly competition is what the music industry needs right now in the R& B arena, and if the two contenders look like Usher and Chris, why not? This is where the Females of the R& B industry went wrong.

No one really stepped up their game to independently perfect their own craft, but instead tried to copy Beyonce’s moves which just did not work. What I like about Usher and Chris is their own style all around.

Both real performers and real singers with real talent. With triple threat talent no one can take anything from artists like Usher. There’s no doubt in my mind that Usher is ready to take over and is officially back.  It’s time for media to start focusing on a modern day king of R& B.

Did Remy Ma Deserve an 8 Year Sentence for Shooting Her Friend in the Stomach?

icon1 Posted by prqueen in CELEBRITY DISH on 05 17th, 2008 | 160 Comments

Remy ma was handcuffed after being sentenced to 8 years in jail. Unfortunately, no political right wing activists were at hand, nor Reverend Sharpton to protest her surprising lock-up that stripped the femme’ fatale rapper of her reign as a top heavyweight  Hip Hop contender in the industry with no major prior arrest record.

Her lyrical vocals were solid, image reflective of a Hip-Hop artist on the rise and style as gritty as it gets with long blonde streaks and bangs symbolizing her efforts to connect mainly with the young crowd,  but for those of us who know Remy, she could give your top model a run for her money with a little maintenance. At her current age, it will be the Coldest Winter Ever in homage to Sister Souljah, before she rises to the top again. Many say her rap career really never took off, but street sales wise on the underground market, Remy Ma rules.

Early media photos before her trial indicated a cheerful Remy ma dressed in urban gear like this was all going to pass over. Several radio hosts sent prayers to her live on air. Maybe she thought that her case would fair better than rapper Foxy Brown since her gun went off by accident. Any inexperienced person handling a gun would make one go off in a fit of rage after having one’s money ripped off, and especially an artist thqt may not be banking yet cash wise.

So what went wrong and why? Today’s juror tens to place themselves in the shoes of its victims nowadays, and it is clear that the lady Foxy accidentally shot could have been your mother, daughter, sister, grandmother  or friend. The lady was lucky to survive, but could have been killed.

What got Remy put behind bars were the words she woofed off in the processs that may not have been her inward intentions, but when her physical actions replaced her mental thoughts, she became a murderer in the eyes of those jurors.

Is the rap industry responsible? Of course! Remy would not have ever been in that predicament had she acquired professional management. When these artists sign for deals, they should have a team in place to ensure artists aren’t put in harms way or even in their own way!

We’ll never know the potential of Remy Ma the artist, but it looks like she has a loyal following beginning with Papoose who risked being thrown in the slammer for bringing a key to unlock her handcuffs while in jail. This was supposed to be their marriage day.

Rapper Papoose never got to tie the knot and he won’t be able to visit Remy Ma for the next six months for pulling that very sentimental gesture that is worthy of a modern day remake of Romeo and Juliet. The last song left to remember Remy ma until the Hip Hop Princess gets her early release date out of jail with a completed book sure to earn a 1/2 million dollar bookdeal is the song, “I’m Conceited” with the words, “I got a reason.” If you haven’t heard that song by Remy Ma than maybe you should buy it since the tune right now is “I’m locked up!” and “I know the reason.”  See Remy ma’s photo on www.Disilgold.com on May 16th, 2008.

Worldwide Exclusive- Just minutes ago, Sue Simmons on 4HDTV was Set Up to Say an Explicative on Air and We Caught It

icon1 Posted by prqueen in CELEBRITY DISH on 05 13th, 2008 | 109 Comments

Nationally renown anchor woman Sue Simmons was reporting news as usual, and the person behind the teleprompter messed up her lines and she slipped and said, “What the F- are you doing?” The pre-recorded information was accidentally slipped on air. Millions of people thought they were hearing things, but it is confirmed that the explicative comment was aired. You’re not dreaming. It;s not uncommon for on air personalities to curse out everyone due to daily stress. Without the teleprompter, false news can be reported and cost anchor women and men their license and permanently.  Already, Dan Rather, a popular on air tv personality is having difficulty finding prime spots. It’s that competitive. It is obvious that the set has been messing with Sue Simmons and she was clearly fed up with the sabotage of her commentary. It is our opinion that the FCC pardon Sue because no one can bring the news with simplicity. All of these anchor women can be phony and concerned all about their looks, how they are sitting and their hair. Sue is a natural. If they want Sue to retire than give her an offer she can’t refuse. Don’t sabotage her on air presence. That’s like a conniving producer giving you the same thing to say for each show when you are more creative than they make you look, and so you’ll  sound like you don’t have it together. Next thing, they are replacing you with talent who’ll take a lower salary.  I’m glad Sue let everyone know what is going on! This is why advertisers are not advertising on tv anymore and opting to buy their own networks and info commercials with paid broadcasting. Even XM satellite is expanding. Folks are fed up with all of these fickle changes on air.  They need to bring Star Jones, Sue Simmons, Rolanda Watts, Oprah and Whoopie on a prime time Roundtable style Debate Show and let these queens air off on everything, but you didn’t hear that from me!

Angela Bassett
The Meet the Browns Interview
with Kam Williams

Headline: Angela Gets Her Groove Back

Born in New York City, but raised by her single-mom, Betty, along with her sister, D’nette, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Angela Evelyn Bassett studied acting at Yale University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in African-American Studies and a Master’s in Theater. She began her professional career on stage, performing both on and off-Broadway in productions of “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” “Colored People’s Time,” “Henry IV, Part I,” “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone,” “Antigone,” “Pericles” and “Black Girl.”

Angela later landed what might be described as her breakout role as Reva Devereaux in John Singleton’s BOYZ N THE HOOD, and she received additional critical acclaim for her moving performance as matriarch Katherine Jackson in the ABC mini-series “The Jacksons:  An American Family.” Nominated for an Oscar in 1994 for her unforgettable portrayal of Tina Turner in WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT, Angela is also a thirteen -time NAACP Image Award-nominee, winning for that picture along with THE ROSA PARKS STORY, SUNSHINE STATE, THE SCORE, HOW STELLA GOT HER GROOVE BACK, MUSIC OF THE HEART, WAITING TO EXHALE, RUBY’S BUCKET OF BLOOD and MALCOLM X..

The embodiment of dignity, pride and grace, she invariably electrifies audiences via her emotionally-charged characterizations. Away from the set, with her husband, actor Courtney B. Vance, she co-wrote FRIENDS: A LOVE STORY, a best-seller published on Valentine’s Day last year. The inspirational autobiography chronicles the real-life love story of Bassett and Vance, who were friends for many years before marrying.

In 2006, the couple became parents, celebrated the arrival of twins, daughter Bronwyn Golden and son Slater Josiah. Here, Angela talks about life, career and her new movie, Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns, where she stars opposite former NBA star Rick Fox.

KW: Hi Angela, this is an honor. Thanks for the time.

AB: Sure.

KW: How was it being directed by Tyler Perry?

AB: It was great, even though there were some long, hot days in Atlanta. [Chuckles] But, they weren’t long enough.

KW: How about working with Rick Fox?

AB: It was absolutely delightful. He was a joy to work with.

KW: Even though you’re such an accomplished actress, and he didn’t have nearly the same amount of experience?

AB: That’s true enough, but he has life experience, and he certainly brought all of himself to the moment. He wasn’t afraid of hard work, and he was open and emotionally available. So, he won me over as a co-star.

KW: Where did you channel your character from? Have you ever known a single-mom at the end of her rope like Brenda?

AB: Oh, absolutely! My mom raised my sister and me single-handedly in Florida. So, day-to-day, I saw the struggles of doing it on your own without help, and how tired that makes you, and the dreams and aspirations you have for your children. I know that she pushed us in regard to getting our education, finding advocates in our principals and teachers at school.

KW: And she was quite successful, given your graduating from Yale.

AB: Yeah, it was a wonderful victory and accomplishment for her, especially since she wasn’t able to go to college herself. Education was something stressed almost to my chagrin growing up, at times. Since we were toddlers, she stressed, “You’re going to college! You’re going to college! You’re going to college!” So, it was a happy moment for her.

KW: I can remember how my mother always made me finish my homework before I was allowed to go out to play.

AB: Yeah, all that extra-curricular stuff came to a screeching halt, if your grades weren’t up to par. And par was at least Bs or better. If you wanted to keep your good thing going, then you took care of your job, and that was getting those grades together.

KW: What sort of message do you want people to get from Meet the Browns?

AB: To persevere and keep on moving forward. Just put one foot in front of the other, whatever the obstacles may be. Hold out for hope, because you will turn a corner and find a situation that’s a whole lot better.

KW: Is there any question that no one has ever asked that you wished someone would ask you?

AB: Oh no, no question’s been off-limits. [Laughs] I can’t say I’ve ever thought to myself, “Oh, I wished they’d ask me this or that.”

KW: The Columbus Short question: Are you happy?

AB: Ecstatic!

KW: “Are you ever afraid?” I got that question from Tasha Smith.

AB: Oh really? Am I ever afraid? Oh, yeah, absolutely. I’m human, so…

KW: Who are you supporting for president?

AB: Barack Obama.

KW: Jimmy Bayan, “Realtor to the Stars,” wants to know where in L.A. you live.

AB: Hancock Park.

KW: Congrats on your many NAACP Image Awards. You might not know that I’m on the nominating committee.

AB: Oh, are you? I wondered who voted. Where are you based?

KW: I’m in Princeton, New Jersey. You have quite an impressive body of work. Which of your roles has been the most satisfying?

AB: I love all my “children” but I would have to say What’s Love, because it was the most challenging and the most fulfilling, because it resonated with so many people, and because it has stood the test of viewing again and again. It was the role that pushed me and pulled me more than any other.

KW: You’ve been everyone from Tina to Katherine Jackson to Betty Shabazz to Rosa Parks in bio-pics. Do you enjoy playing real-life icons?

AB: Yeah, I absolutely do, and I’m always humbled and I’m grateful for each opportunity.

KW: Have you ever gotten any feedback from a person you’ve portrayed?

AB: Yes, Tina was very, very pleased. I got very positive feedback from her.

KW: How about Rosa Parks?

AB: I was able to meet her, but she was elderly at the time, and had other priorities in her life. I also got positive feedback from Katherine and her children, and from Betty Shabazz and her family.

KW: Do you have any plans to work with your husband soon?

AB: We did a play a couple of years ago, His Girl Friday. And we’re always holding that out as a possibility.

KW: I hope to be able to catch you and Courtney again up on the screen. Well, thanks for the time, Angela, and good luck with Meet the Browns.

AB: Thank you so very much.

Nationally Known Publishing Guru Karen E. Quinones Miller Release a Self-Publishing Pamphlet

Nationally Known Publishing Guru

Karen E. Quinones Miller,

  Pens Pamphlet on Self-Publishing

http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001cch8mpD9vjrEAS2ooGumJneemlm-CoXYXjO7tGhSSu-UrUzxCQBPoEJdQ9QESf7iZrMM3qzEeqDtx98bsS3pzLE8XERN_K3doFdcJdIn79m74zfLbvtMMS8qF-G7KG5E

Philadelphia, PA - When Karen E. Quinones Miller self published her first novel, Satin Doll, she not only sold 28,000 copies, but the feat led to a publishing deal with Simon and Schuster for six figures. Miller, who has since gone on to become a best-selling author, makes it  her regular practice  to help numerous aspiring authors attain their goals.  Now, in an effort to reach out even further, she has written a pamphlet on how to self-publish that is not only affordable, but easy to understand.  The Self-Publishing Pamphlet sells for only six dollars and can be purchased at the website www.selfpublishingsite.com .

Topics included in the 27-page pamphlet include:

     -how to set up your publishing company;

     -how to obtain ISBNs and barcodes;

-how to do your own typesetting,

-what to look for in an editor and much much more.

“I’ve given quite a number of self-publishing/publishing seminars here in Philly — and have always had to turn people away due to lack of room,” says Miller, an Essence bestselling author who also wrote I’m Telling, Ida B., and Passin’ - all published by major publishing houses such as Simon & Schuster, Warner Books and Grand Central Books.

“And when I made it known I don’t plan on conducting any more seminars this year people asked me to please send them the written material I use for the seminars, and said they’d be willing to pay the seminar cost ($85) just for the material. I think that’s way too much for struggling writers to pay for written material on how to self-publish. That’s why I wrote this pamphlet.”

Praise for the pamphlet has come from various other bestselling authors including Miasha, author of Secret Society, Diary of a Mistress, and Mommy’s Angel.

“When Karen E. Quinones Miller speaks, the literary world listens. Not only is she the poster-child for self-publishing and obtaining a deal, she is the most generous, compassionate, sharing person I know. And it shows in this packet of valuable information,” says Miasha, whose latest release is the hot selling, Sistah for Sale.

Daaimah S. Poole, another bestselling author whose books include Yo Yo Love, Got A Man, and All I Want is Everything, adds: “Karen has not only been a mentor to me, but to a host of published authors in all genres. Whenever anyone asks me about publishing or self-publishing a manuscript I’ve always referred them to Karen. Now with the writing of this pamphlet she can help thousands of other people successfully get their books out to the public.”

Miller, who is also the CEO of Oshun Publishing which recently released the non-fiction blockbuster: Harlem Godfather: The Rap on My Husband, Ellsworth “Bumpy” Johnson, says she will soon be writing future pamphlets on guerilla marketing and how to get your manuscript published by large publishers.

“My goal is to take some of the mystery out of publishing ,” says Miller. “It’s about time we open up the publishing game in a way that gives everyone a chance at success in this highly competitive business.”

Congratulations L.A. Banks- Essence Storyteller of the Year

icon1 Posted by prqueen in BOOK DISH on 05 6th, 2008 | 106 Comments

Disilgold was there to witness the crowining of L. A Banks as Storyteller of the Year. A photo of L.A. Banks with Essence guests all around L.A. is loading on www.Disilgold.com this week. Not only is Disilgold proud of Literary Diva L.A. Banks, but we are ecstatic to have in our possession the actual winning envelope left on the podium announcing the winner from several top nominees. Don’t take this lightly. This is major!

L.A. knows all about it. We also, have other items casually left behind from other events and folks who just forget things. Disilgold is the most honest entity on the planet. You want to make sure we find your left behind treasures and not media. It’s all safe with Disilgold. So far we have items from Roberta Flack, Camille Yarbrough, Leslie Banks and Ruby Dee and the list goes on. Nothing major, just hairpins, lipstick, prompt cards and notes.

We even have the 14kt catch from Terrie McMillan earrings that broke while she was at the Essence Awards and she threw on the floor. We asked if she wanted Ms. Disilgold’s pair of earrings bought at the last minute and Terrie respectfully declined with that classic smirk. We have that picture, too.  Such a diva. I didn’t even blast Terrie, but I am blasting L.A. for not demanding we give her the envelope back with her big win that night.

All I can say is when someone lets media walk away with their winning envelope they are doing very well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another top author unleashed. Don’t say we didn’t tell you that L.A. is a star. Writer’s Legacy sent us this news with a fab photo of L.A. In the meanwhile,  we are predicting Oprah will invite L.A. Banks on her show soon. And of course, we’ll be there to hold on to any other lost items.

One big name author dropped a hundred dollar bill on the ground and we caught up with that superstar to give it back. But, the biggest shout out on honesty goes to Wendy William’s camp. I left an expensive camera with her crew and they not only found me, but gave me my camera. We even borrowed a rare autographed book signed by Wilt Chamberlain from the one and only Cal Ramsey, NBA spokesperson, and he trusted me and my brither to give it back. It took a few months, but we did bring the book back to Mr. Ramsey who has an awesome stereo system, but was interested in upgrading until my brother showed him that his system was actually top of the line. Now that is honest. Any other stereo specialist would have said, you need   a new system, but sometimes our folks don’t know how to turn amps on.

It’s always been Disilgold tradition to catch rare photos and hold on to things we sometimes think are left  in our possession on purpose as historians more so than media, but it is getting tough to catch those glam shots with media all around these days at major events.

In fact, we caught a bad attitude and will only provide media as exclusive media or as one of a few media invited. I never want to have to wait to snap a photo of anyone or ask more than once. I am not playing that celebrity nonsense these days.  It doesn’t make me feel good to be snubbed like the paparazzi when I am a historian whose photos speak volumes for icons in every industry.  It’s not like I wear credentials on my fine clothing. I have been snubbed by even some celebs who thought I was from Media Take Out.com and I was insulted, highly insulted.  These folks who never apologized have been dismissed. And- I am still upset over Tameka asking me for my credentials when I was inside a $1000 dollar a plate event.  It’s okay Usher. I still supported your latest album. If I was Tameka and I came along,  I would stop me too. Very Understandable!

I am  also, disappointed that media wasn’t given front row for the Essence Literary Awards. T. D.  Jakes, Dr. Ian Smith, Victoria Rowell and Lynn Whitfield had those honors which is good for the celebs in all respect, but this does not help media get those front top shots. I spoke to Lynn and Victoria after the event and they sympathized with me as media. I am so upset I did not get that one and only photo of L.A. receiving her award.

My camera memory card was full and I had to keep back tracking and deleting photos that didn’t come out as well as I expected due to distance to snap good historical shots.  Nevermind me. This habit of getting first shots happened when the media swagger-jacked me to the side by having all media step 1 foot backwards to assume their spots.

Of course, dumb me feel for the prank with E-Entertainment, BET, VH1 and MTV camera crews and I lost my spot at an event, but of course, someone hooked me up to stand in another spot and promised I would get the first shot of this celeb, and the mission was accomplished and historic because that was Beyonce’s world televised B-Day Bash Celebration.

Well, I am too happy that Writer’s Legacy got a glam shot of L.A. Banks because now I can announce with great honor the crowning of L.A. Banks as the  Essence Storyteller of the Year! History has thus been made on this day and I can’t think of a nicer person who is more deserving.  This photo shows the inner character and just over all support L.A. Banks has unselfishly given to others.

Of course, we added a controversial article preceeding so you won’t forget L.A. BANKS. If you haven’t checked a book by L.A. Banks, well with all of this name toting paying homage to fab writer, then maybe you should make it your business to put a book by the author on your shopping list or give a L.A. Banks book as a gift for Mother’s Day.  When you do, have your mom write a mesage here about how wonderful L.A. Banks books are so the entire Disilgold community can see it!  We’ll be back to edit this all down and list websites to connect to L.A. Banks. We do know one site is www.vampirehuntress.com.

Writer's Legacy
Greetings!

According to Disilgold SOUL Literary Review Magazine Online insiders at www.Disilgold.com, Mariah Carey (38 is not officially married and currently is wearing a friendship ring from Nick Cannon (28). Both make an excellent couple. He’s fun, humorous and seems to be a rising actor on the up and up and of course, Mariah Carey has 18 number one hits. There seems to be balance in this relationship and besides, Nick needs a mature woman who knows how to handle the wet-behind the ears-actor who was once out of control and now found by someone who can match his greatness. He’s looking fine lately since he met Mariah. This is the best celebrity relationship news all week.
