The African American Pavilion and BookExpo America will present on opening day, A Fifth Year star studded gala celebration, Friday, May 30th at 9:00am, beginning with a ribbon cutting, unveiling the art of Synthia SAINT JAMES throughout the pavilion and celebrity speakers, featuring Hill Harper, an NAACP Image Award, for Outstanding Literary Work by a Debut Author and Emmy Award Winner, National Bestselling Author of Letters To A Young Brother: Manifest Your Destiny an accomplished film, television and stage actor, starring in the hit CBS drama series, CSI: NY. reading from his new book Letters To A Young Sister, and Omar Tyree, New York Times Best-Selling Author, NAACP Image Award recipient for Outstanding Literature in Fiction, the 2006 Harlem Book Fair/Phyllis Wheatly Award winner for “Body of Work in Literature”, the author of 18 books, selling over 2 million copies worldwide, including Flyy Girl and A Do Right Man.
