Indie Arie over accentuates the eyes drawing attention away from an unflattering ruffle collared dress that does nothing to bring out this natural beauty. She really should have rocked a neutral gold toned form fitted dress with emphasis on a little exposure of the back achieved with a plunging cowel-like backline. Her hair is in phenomenal well maincured twists that could have been styled with some beads and even a faux pau flower for some added flair. She has the best features and simply missed her opportunity here to represent her style we all know is not evident at the BET honors.
Gabrielle Union is the epitomy of effortless style. She simply radiates in any hairstyle she wears. I simply love this Victorian updo and French braid look. Expect for Gabrielle to set of a new hairstyle trend all her own. It took her a while to find her own style.
Mya looks dazzling in red and knows how to compliment her radient style on the red carpet with charming accessories to match. She pulled all of that beautiful hair off her face for this outfit which is right on point and accentuates a bright smile. Mya’s look works here ans she knows it. Check out her mix cd out right now! It’s hot.
Ryan Leslie is a simple well maincured man who knows how to simplify his look with an expensive jacket and fresh out of the shower look. I bet he was wearing Armani cologne here. Style just imanates from this baby-faced music crooner steadily working his way to being an international pop star. Don’t say LiteraryDish.com didn’t tell you. His album is in stores right now. Get one before its gone. You know what happens when I mention a hot album here. People start buying 2 and 4 and there’s no more.
Tichana Arnold takes over with shoulder swept long hair that frames her face well. The dress however, doesn’t do much for the figure. Ladies if you are going to wear these mid driff dresses try to not show too much and I mean that with sincerity. Cleavage on the red carpet looks to revealing ghetto unless you are a runway model.
I have no idea who this Taraji P. Henson look-a-like is who somehow bum rushed the red carpet, but the hair, make-up and outfit was so on point I decided to put her on the countdown. Other lady celebs could take notes from this imposter. If it is Taraji someone let me know. I took a look at Mary J. Blige’s discography and most of her albums feature her from the neck up and a face shot. Mary is a natural beauty because she really doesn’t need any fancy styles to sell an album. Her latest look proves my point. Confidence beholds this singer and why folks are always trying out Mary’s hairstyles. She’s been setting trends for a decade. \
Queen Latifah never ceases to amaze me and is always representing for the sisters from her hairstyles, fashion savvy and ability to look great each time she steps out to host an event. What’s so remarkable is how multi-faceted she is. She’s hosted shows, had her own tv show, cut hot hip hop albums, can sing along the likes of a modern day Nina Simone and has catapulted the box offices in hit movies. I am not sure what is next, but she also, has a lingerie line doing very well.
Check out the detail on Sean Combs. To have a well respected clothing line and rock it on the red carpet is like saying, I AM KING. Oh is that his fragrance, too. Sean John is the Bomb, but he’s still walking by good media at events and confusing them with the paparazzi. He doesn’t seem to turn his head to face your camera if you are a black woman in media. Not sure why, but I’ll get back to folks on this soon.
Neyo must have a stylist because there is no way on earth a man can know how to put his outfits together like this for an event. I’ll be the first to launch the term Neyo-style, a LiteraryDish ism for a very stylish guy born to be fly. Refer a BET ARRIVAL for a Top Story feature on www.Disilgold.com, home of Disilgold SOUL Magazine.
