BET ’s Centric TV launched the Saving Ourselves Haiti Relief Celebrity Telethon produced by Sean Diddy Combs with hosts Pharell and Queen Latifah in support of fundamental and ongoing donations for Haitians in need of clean water. Just one purification packet can clean 10 liters of dirty water soiled with worms, parasites and blood born diseases. Even with a ravaged and ruined country, Haitians rather go hungry then drink the contaminated water. Already over 200,000 Haitians have lost their lives in the worse devastation to hit a coastal island. With efforts of concerts as S.O.S. there is hope for rebuilding the restoration of Haiti ongoing.
What I found amazing were the number of musicians and artists who came out to man the phone lines, perform and encourage viewers to reach out and send just $10 or more.
