How an album begins determines if an album will or will not sell 1 million albums on day one.  From first listen, Usher does a great job pumping up his album with  Monstar, a heart thumping track  that races your pressure and reminds you of  the entertainer behind over 8 chart topping  hits during  his career who clearly has stepped up his game after much ridicule for his last albumto reclaim his status as King of RnB.  The Raymond vs Raymond album cover artwork  revealing his same named entitled  alter-ego “split personality” image clearly shows Usher’s  onlycompetition is himself. Call ir pompous or confidence, the singer does not disappoint with hit after hit tracks sure to all be number ones on the Bilboard Charts because something is quite different about his voice. He explores a wide range of voices such as the monotone  baritone   voice in OMG  which leaves listeners wondering where did this voice come from. Usher’s voice in OMG is clearly gravitating and the kind of music you can expect to cause global fanfare.

Academy Award-Winner in the House!

            Mo’Nique collected a basketful of Supporting Actress accolades over the course of the awards season for her gripping portrayal of Mary Jones, the relentlessly-monstrous mother in Precious. The versatile comedienne/actress/talk show host’s powerful performance not only earned her a Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, NAACP Image, Sundance Film Festival, BAFTA and Independent Spirit Award, but was recognized as the best of 2010 by most critics’ guilds as well. Still, the icing on the cake arrived no March 7^th when the talented sister won a well-deserved Academy Award.

            Here, in the first interview I’ve ever conducted which actually brought me to tears, Mo’Nique reflects upon a variety of subjects, ranging from family to spirituality to surviving incest to what winning the Oscar means to her.             Leonard Albert Kravitz was born in New York City on May 26, 1964 to actress Roxie Roker, and Sy Kravitz, a news producer at NBC-TV. An only child, Lenny was raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan until the family moved to Los Angeles when his late mother landed the role of Helen on the television sitcom “The Jeffersons.”

            He developed a love of music at an early age, playing both drums and guitar by the time he was 5. After dropping out of Beverly Hills High School at the age of 15, Lenny straightened his hair and donned blue contact lenses to create a new persona, Romeo Blue. But he only hit it big after going natural and back to his real name and irises for the release of his debut album, “Let Love Rule.” A 4-time Grammy-winner, Lenny’s hits include “Let Love Rule,” “Fly Away” and “American Woman,” to name a few.

            He and his ex-wife, Cosby kid Lisa Bonet, have one daughter, Zoe, an aspiring actress whose next flick, Twelve, will be released in the Fall.  Who Will Win, Who Deserves to Win, Who Was Snubbed

            Although Avatar and The Hurt Locker landed 9 Academy Award nominations each, I foresee the former and director James Cameron enjoying a clean sweep. Breaking all box-office records, Avatar is a juggernaut that nobody will be able to stop on Oscar night. This means that The Hurt Locker, which was directed by Cameron’s ex-wife, Kathryn Bigelow, might very well be shut out entirely, unless the Academy decides to split their votes between the two in the Best Director and Best Picture categories.

One of the most time-consuming tasks for new authors is handling their business during tax time. Keeping accurate inventory is a piece of cake when you are organized and if this process gives you a big headache read further to get organized today as well. 

 Many authors who are self-employed either file annual or quarterly sales tax forms. When the forms arrive it is easy to mistaken the envelope for regular Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service updates about tax info on mailers and changes in tax codes. You probably overlooked a letter this season stating that mailing returns to annual sales tax filers and/or some quarterly filers in specific zones will not be sent correspondence or reminders to file their taxes.  If you have multiple businesses, one  a thriving business and the other an upstart ready to launch this information applies to you.

            Born in Orlando on July 31, 1962 to Marian, a teacher’s aide, and Wesley, Sr., and an aircraft engineer, Wesley Trent Snipes was raised in the South Bronx, although the family moved back to Florida before he was able to graduate from NYC’s famed, Fiorello La Guardia High School of Music and Art. Still, Wesley went on to study drama in college at SUNY Purchase’s prestigious acting conservatory.

            However, he dropped out during his junior year to pursue his passion professionally. In Hollywood, the versatile thespian’s stage and Shotokan karate training came in handy in helping him land a variety of roles.
