Book Dish: Another Dumb Book by a Doctor On Relationships Telling Women What’s Wrong with them. DON’T BUY MS-TYPED! FAIL!

I am furious with all of these sell out authors either telling women what is wrong with them or why they can’t get a man, and especially these fake doctors with PHD given a voice with only $3000 more on their salaries, 1 discertation away from anyone who has graduated from college  and a long ass hair weave with no game who got a man because.. SURPRISE they are a doctor.

Breaking Dish-Is Sean Diddy Combs suing his Sean John store landlord during a recession?

Visit www.Disilgold.com to vote this as a top story.

According to an article by AOL Small Business, Sean Diddy Combs may be suing his landlord to break out of his store lease. Folks are debating if Sean should sue his landlord during a recession or wait it out. His audience simply lost their credit card privileges. I hear guys saying they had as little as $2000 debt in credit card bills, paid their bill and their credit card company cut their cards. Others may have missed one payment and their minimum payments doubled. No credit, no shopping for many clothing consumers because if one has cash they’ll blow it like Drake, sings on his latest hit, Money to Blow. Of course, Sean John is going to lose revenue like any other clothing line, but it doesn’t change the quality of the line that I am sure will survive the storm because men like to look good for their ladies.

Personally, I think Sean Combs should take his loses and move his clothing line into a mall. Being super rich ain’t everything. A yacht for weekend family fun, adequate educations for his kids, security and a house away from the hustle is all these celebs need to get by, but when you make that much money before 40 in ones life time it becomes addictive. We forget he has a Ciroc beverage and cologne line… all smart investments.

Worldwide Exclusive Disilgold.com Radio Interview: Tim Prolific Jones, Founder of Corporate B-boysim Unleashes Poetry Movement

Founder of Corporate B-Boyism to pen new novel, The 7th Seal

Founder of Corporate B-Boyism to pen new novel, The 7th Seal

written by Heather Covington “The Literary HEAT”
 Disilgold SOUL Literary Review Editor
Timothy Prolific Jones, Jr., founder of Corporate B-Boyism, Indelible Poetry and Legacy Publishing  exposes the hidden secret of racism in Long Island with his poetry. His voice is powerful and represents an authentic point of  view from the other side of Hip Hop  in Suburban  America.

Let the movement begin!Visit Disilgold SOUL Radio at www.Disilgold.com to listen to full interview. See 10 minute segments of the full 30 minute interview on YOUTUBE.com with release of Timothy’s Disilgold SOUL Magazine debut  soon as our 2009 Poetry Cover Man.

Here are some questions that I asked about celebrities and the TOP 10 News Trends of 2009 that  Timothy Prolific Jones goes in on during our 30 minute Get PerSOULnal Session:

1.Was Alicia Keys wrong to date, Swiss Beatz, a married man and Hip Hop producer and artist, who claims he had broken up with Mashonda or is she a home wrecker?
2. Are reality tv shows like “I Want to Work For Diddy,” “For the Love of Ray J” and “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” relevant toward the Black Experience or a waste of time depicting a poor image of Black America?
3. Was Lil Mama wrong for rushing the stage to pose with Jay Z at end of his “Empire State of Mind” duet with Alica Keys or within her rights as a woman in Hip Hop?
4. Are you attracted to female celebrities with surgical enhancements or are these women overrated?
5. Is there a conspiracy against the Hip Hop community since one-by-one they are getting locked up for minor things like T.I., Lil Wayne, Buju Bantan while national crime is on the rise?
6. Does Chris Brown, a confessed woman abuser deserve another chance at his career?
7. Should Tiger Woods title as Person of the Decade be stripped due to his serial infidelity?
8. Did President Barack Obama deserve the Nobel Peace Prize or is he prematurely being crucified in his first year of office by naysayers?
9. Are you writing a book to exploit the Black experience like the movie Precious has been accused of by critics or will the book offer solutions for change?
10. Does America’s Hip Hop community ignore and reject suburban racism of Blacks in Long Island as part of the struggle because of the lavish lifestyle of suburban Blacks?
11. Do you know why Nikki Giovanni chose a female over the top poets of America during a past taping of BETs LYRICS lounge?
12. Where are those poets today like J IVY and Sho Love Da Poetic?
13. Are you aware that you have been ordained by poets nationwide as the creator of The Movement, and poet to bring back the love of poetry?
14. What are your goals for Indelible and Legacy Publishing?
15. What other pioneers are part of this movement?
16. Do you know why you were selected as the first audio interview guest of Disilgold SOUL Magazine’s LiteraryDish.com Radio?
17. What are your goals for www.andremauricepress.com ?
18. Do you have a poem that will sum up the struggle of blacks on Long Island often ignored until now and may hold the beginning of a movement for suburban blacks?

I had a 30 minute interview date with Timothy Prolific Jones that  I very much enjoyed and we went back to our personal lives and significant others  leaving the tension online for listeners for what makes for a  great conversation and radio interview between a female and male poet.

Warning,  your  true writing soul will surface after listening to the full interview and writers every where tuning in  will be  ignited to pick up a pen and renew their passion as  POETS. Let this be the reason why POETRY IS BACK on this day!

After successfully self-publishing her debut novels, The Ties That Bind and Loose Ends, New American Library, a division of Penguin Group, bought the rights. Electa signed a three-book deal with New American Library. All three books were immediately chosen as Black Expressions Book Club main selections and embraced as Books of the Month by book clubs across the country. Dubbed a “book club favorite,” avid readers have embraced Electa’s true to life characters that tackle prevalent and heavy hitting issues.

Since then Electa has become a best-selling author of several mainstream and erotic novels, Almost Doesn’t Count, Ladies’ Night Out and These Are My Confessions (anthology), with Penguin Group and HarperCollins. Electa has been a frequent guest on radio shows, has been nominated for many industry awards and has been interviewed by newspapers and several national magazines.

DISILGOLD.COM: Tell us about your passion for writing. Why do you write? What drives you? What impact do you want your book to make on the readers?

ELECTA:Wow! Where do I begin? I always jokingly state that I have a passionate love affair going on with reading and writing. Our torrid affair has consumed my very being for much of my life; it’s true, it’s pure, it’s divine. My passion runs deep. Writing is in my blood and I cannot imagine life without it. My very spirit would probably shrivel up and die if I could not write. Writing is my therapy. My voice. My sincere expression of the world as seen through my eyes.

A CALL FOR ACTION AND END OF SENSELESS VIOLENCE!

On my way to my hair dresser one day I heard something tumbling above my head and a voice  told me to stand still.  Had I moved an inch more I would have been a statistic due to a senseless prank bygang members having fun on a roof , and who thought terrorizing a neighborhood by throwing bottles out the window was a recreational sport.  I could have walked away, but instead I called the gang members out while calling the police and fire department who arrived right away, wound up all 12 youth and let me pep talk them to let off steam. Had I filed a case certainly four would have been locked up with prior offenses.

No older than 12-15, these teens were kids ruled by rituals, a lack of supervision and latch key kids.  This isn’t the first time I have had confrontations with gang members and I just wondered if these kids had after school programs would they have time to create mischief on the rooftop of buildings. Upon viewing the footage of an unfortunate incident that resulted in an honor student losing his life for intervening in a fight to help another victim all could have been avoided.

HEATLIST COUNTDOWN- The Observer reports Simon & Schuster Lays off More Employees, Penguin-Scholastic has BED BUGS in offices so what about the books. Yuck

The Observer reports Simon & Schuster Lays off More Employees. According to our insiders, Simon & Schuster sales are down, so more employees had to be laid off this past month.

Bed bugs in an office is a critical issue. Once the bugs multiply they never go away and that means execs get bit up, visitors and God forbid one slips into a  promotional book that winds up in the hands of a parent who gives the book to their child to take to school. A quick extermination may be able to clear up the problem, but those critters know how to hide in crevices and turn their asses to block the spray like armor. They have been here since the age of dinosaurs along with cockroaches.  Can’t the Stimulus Package be used to resolve this issue?

DISILGOLD SOUL BOOK REVIEW: I Can Make You Love Me By Karen White-Owens

“A BOLD, SEXY AND SCANDALOUS THRILLRIDE HIT OF THE YEAR!”- Heather Covington

Like an insouciant flashback seen through a myopic lens , an enchanting scene between 5 year old Adam Carlyle and his 13 year old babysitter , Wynne Evans, quickly dissipates with heartwarming smiles as she finishes reading his favorite fairytale. You would think Adam is impressed with Wynn’s storytelling technique and ready to be tucked in, but he sits right up, looks into Wynn Evan’s eyes and surprisingly pops the question like a grown man, “Will you marry me?”

Wynn, a pre-teen, shrugs off Adam’s advances as an innocent gesture, but Adam cries that if she goes he’ll be alone since his sister is leaving off to her third year of college. An enchanting and light-hearted beginning, it is obvious that Adam doesn’t just have a crush, but knows who he wants and to spend the rest of his life with.

Wynn can’t help but wish that her own boyfriend would pop the same question with as much passion as the young Adam and laughs off the entire incident. With two children later, born to her ex, Jim Harrison, Wynn manages to land a successful job as a successful and lucrative CNA upon completion of her degree from Michigan State University.

The same man she had hoped to marry left her for another woman, but even with separation he seems to want to control Wynn and often takes her boys for a few days and brings the boys back earlier than expected just to upset her. He’s rude, brash, pompous and on top of that he is verbally abusive and doesn’t want her to have a life. He owns several buildings and not only has visitation rights, but is paying the successful Wynn hefty child support payments for his prowess ways.

A delightful turn occurs one day as Wynn winds up at a hot dog stand in front of New Center One Building. She receives a call and replies with a deep and sultry business voice, “ Wynn Evans.” A man who is standing behind Wynn and checking out her body from head to toe and over hears her begins sighing and motioning a confrontation until she turns around. It isn’t apparent that she is starring at Adam Carlyle all grown up, built cock diesel and ruggedly handsome with the same boyish face. He does her the favor and asks if she grew up around the Rosedale arena.

With a barrage of light to intensive romantic chit-chatter fueled with testosterone from Adam and estrogen from Wynn, it is apparent that there is mutual attraction, but Wynn who is reluctant to give him her number gives in. After all, this man standing in front of her is 7 years younger and the same child she babysat as a kid, plus she has two boys who are attached to their own father and bringing Adam into her life despite their romantic rendezvous might not work . It’s all too surreal, but Adam is persistent.

For days he sends flowers, calls and insists on them having dinner, and even if he has a mad woman named Vivian Manning after him. Then the day arrives when Jim brings the boys back and notices that someone has sent her flowers. He becomes curious and so outraged he suddenly wants Wynn back in his life. Like a twist of fate, Wynn is caught up. Jim was once a man she loved, but she decides to rejects Jims advances.

Like a scorned man, he says “That man will never love you and you’re sagging breasts” and goes on and on with more pop shots and insults that are not true of the 35 year old slender Wynn. Her mind is made up, but even Adam is unsure if he fits into Wynn’s life 100%. Things grow stranger by the moment when her boys whom she loves more than anything disappear. Could it be Adam or Jim?

Time is running out and Wynn is in a search of her sons. Adam by profession is qualified to find them and so she entrusts the man who she believes truly loves her to help find her sons. You’ll never guess who took her sons and why?

If you were caught between two lovers, one a forbidden romance by luck and chance and the other by initial desire separated in love and war and both returned to you with promise of everlasting commitment, which man would you choose even if the wrong decision could jeopardize the lives of your children?

“I Can Make You Love Me” by Karen White-Owens makes readers wonder if they should open or close the door to people who return from one’s past. In this case, the life of Wynn’s children depends on it making for a true drama readymade for the big-screen. The climatic stand-off between two lovers, one real and the other a façade scores big for the author of other high intense novels like “The Way You Aren’t” and “Now Until Forever.” Ms. Owens is not just an author, she’s a story teller with a gift of penning novelistic stories with great timing, plot, dialogue, suspense and intensified intrigue. Karen-White Owens is a classic and contemporary Romance and Drama Novelist of our era.

Set for an October release, “ I Can Make You Love Me” is a BOLD, SEXY AND SCANDALOUS THRILLRIDE HIT OF THE YEAR! Visit the author at www.KarenWhiteOwens.com.

AUTHOR DENISE TURNEY SHARES THE POIGNANT STORY OF A ORPHAN GIRL FROM AFRICA WHO GOES ON TO LEAD A NATION –

NATIONAL INDIE EXCELLENCE BOOK AWARD FINALIST

Philadelphia, PA — Denise Turney’s new book Long Walk Up tells the story of a remarkable young girl from East Africa who is destined to be a leader of nations. Long Walk Up is a significant contribution to art and community. This story examines the life of a child who has been pushed into the street alone when her mother dies from malaria. The child, a girl named Mulukan, offers us an honest look at tragedy and unforeseen events, heart tugging coincidences that become the threads in the fabric of the human landscape. Mulukan’s personal story strikes a perfect balance between resistance and triumph. This child’s remarkable life searches readers’ hearts and calls them to ascension in their own personal lives.

One reviewer, Yaba Blay, of Temple University’s Department of African American Studies, has this to say about Turney’s new release, “Long Walk Up breathes life into the resiliency of the African spirit. Through Turney, Mulukan easily leaves the pages and enters our hearts. You too will be encouraged to take the Long Walk Up.” Another reviewer, Ron Kavanaugh of Mosaicbooks.com, notes that, “Starting with her first book, Portia, and continuing with her latest effort, Long Walk Up, Denise Turney’s literary expressiveness and dedication to the written word is evident. Long Walk Up is sure to be a bestseller.”
