Hard to believe Whitney Houston is gone, but we’ll always remember the voice that transcended a generation of music listeners as one of the greatest voices of all time. Her mother, Cissy Houston was a back up singer for Elvis Presley. Her cousin, Dionne Warwick catapulted music charts along with Nancy Wilson during her error and now the legacy of voices from the Houston Family dynasty is remembered with celebration of her life. LiteraryDish.com founder, Heather Haliah was there with her on the same stage at Radio City Music Hall witnessing her sing her all time greatest hit, “I will Always Love You,” thus redefining the definition of a singer destined for meteoric success. On this day singers like Alicia Keys, Dionne Warwick, R. Kelly and Stevie Wonder will celebrate her legacy.
Aretha Franklin will not be in attendance at the funeral due to falling ill right after an ABC News interview where she states when she found out that Cissy’s daughter had a voice, no one would have imagined this skinny little girl was destined to become one of the greatest singers. Album sales of all her albums have risen to an outstanding 500% and flying off shelves.
I personally, hold my memories of viewing Whitney Houston side by side Cissy Houston, Gloria Estafan and Bebe Winans at her Radio City Music Hall performance years ago. Whitney Houston walked past me after giving a side glimpse and very demure smirk not needing any approval. You could sense her inner strength, hurt and pain at the same time back then. She didn’t even look at her mother. With beads of sweat draping down her long, lean and slender but very fit frame dressed in a sequined body suit, Bobby Brown placed a robe on her that appeared to be draped and hooded just like the same cloak she wore for The Bodyguard movie and simply inscribed with the words, Whitney.
At that moment I felt her pain, struggles and entire life of troubles that had already begun. I feel like I wish I could have doen something then as budding media back then and realize the responsibility of media to intervene in the lives of celebrities we report on and no matter how much backlash, for Whitney Houston might be here today. She didn’t get to see the remake of her self-produced movie, “Sparkle,” one of my favorite movies of all time she co-produced. She leaves a daughter, Bobbi Kristini, behind and strikingly spitting image who holds the angelic burden of quite possibly continuing in the image of her mother whose class and self respect epitomized the strength of a black woman. RIP WHITNEY HOUSTON 1963- 2012.

SHOCKING NEWS- Whitney Houston Reportedly Was With Author Ray J Just Moments Before her Death+ Excerpts of his Book Releasing Tomorrow in Stores!
Whitney Houston may have been infatuated to see RAY J, her ex plaything, and confessed cheater in his new book sent to us Federal Express at a pre-Grammy event and wanted nothing more than to wind down, relax her nerves and get some rest before her big day at the Grammys. The public won’t know the cause of Whitney’s death for perhaps weeks although LiteraryDish.com has made an effort to tie alcohol and prescription drugs as a possible cause of Whitney’s death, and usually the cause at such a young age.
Whitney was only 48 years young. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association jumpstarted the 2012 awards season Sunday evening with its annual recognition of the best in film and television. Simultaneously serving as an indicator of Oscar potential, the Golden Globes crowned The Artist and The Descendants as the early favorites by virtue of each one’s enjoying multiple wins, including in the Best Comedy or Musical and the Best Drama categories, respectively.
The former’s Jean Dujardin and the latter’s George Clooney landed acting accolades, with Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady) and Michelle Williams (My Week with Marilyn) winning as lead actresses. Streep’s victory ostensibly came primarily at the expense of The Help’s Viola Davis whose fellow cast member, Octavia Spencer, did prevail in her bid for Best Supporting Actress.
The only other people of color to take home trophies were Morgan Freeman who got a lifetime achievement award and Idris Elba for the made-for-TV movie Luther. This showing for minorities was a major improvement over 2011, when no blacks, Asians, Latinos or Native-Americans won anything.

Not sure why Montell Williams would say that the USA should reinstate the DRAFT PICK, something like slavery revisited to demand young boys be drafted to serve int he military to fight terrorists over seas. With the number of military men killed who never made it back, many believe it was an insensitive gesture by Montell Williams once revered as a respected man on television who’s popularity just went down the drain. Chris Brown didn’t fall prey to the same question asked by TMZ who tried to pinpoint him before taking the wheel after having a few drinks. Chris Brown was quick to mention that he was designating his driver to take the wheel. He then spoke friendly at the cameras of TMZ crew which the next day could set him up and say he was angry, mean, violent and in rage.
Chris looked chipper, in control and nothing like the media paints him out to be all on the account of one fateful night. He then motioned for the cameras to film someone else which most celebs hog the spotlight. His last test he passed with flying colors was when he responded that he is not into political things and said, ” I love everyone!” and even though his reps mentioned he would not be conducting any more interviews. Thank goodness Chris Brown didn’t just walk away from the cameras and brushed off the most annoying paparazzi’s in the business with humor. Life is a test, but I think Chris Brown is going to win in 2012. The Grammys are right around the corner.

Does Rihanna’s Short Sale Listing on Beverly Hills Home Mean She’s Broke?
As soon as Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion was listed as a short sale, buzz circulated around the internet that the singer might be going broke. This is a typical assumption, but a smart move for any owner of a home that is unlivable and one has not lived in for years being that Rihanna would still be responsible for taxes on her estate. The singer may be in the process of suing the seller. Since Rihanna owned the mansion it has suffered severe water damage resulting in mold, cracks and rotted exterior and interior. The home is being sold as is currently for a few million less than what the singer paid for it. The short sale money which might require all cash, no broker or bank loans would absolve her of liabilities and she could use this money to fight back with lawyers, thus regaining her losses and compensation for more than likely pain and suffering if anything.
