It’s December 2008, and who would have ever guessed that America would have it’s first African-American Black President and another television host on the outskirts of shock media don her own television show on national airwaves by the name of Wendy Williams.

Her gossip, love for life, adoration of fashion, helpful health minutes and load sof alluring celebrity gossip may be a secret ingredient to catapult her radio empire into a television empire once her show returns to FOX 5 TV

The question pressing many fans of the radio to talk show host was whether or not her radio show which would measure up to the same ratings without her sidekick, Charlemagne Tha God by her side on air. Thus far, Disilgold.com pollers believe the show is just as enthusiastic and exciting as the show with the former Charlemagne Tha God who has as many supporters as opponents for his sharp wit and no holds barred style upon responding to critical issues and even phonecallers on the show.

With many memorable moments, it would be advantageous for WBLS to maintain syndication of the Best of Wendy Williams Shows for history should never be erased as often happens as one rises to the top. Once history is erased there is no turning back so it seems, and why I will give an extra point or two to the show when Charlemagne tha God was on the air being that commentary is always great to hear on the commute home. I don’t doubt Wendy will make up for her lack of a sidekick by interacting more with her phonecallers.

I wish Charlmagne tha God the best because he did enhance the show. I don’t think his presence on the show revealed just how bold he can get and I am sure another radio show will pick him up, so we’ll hear about it soon.

He may even become Wendy Williams own competition one day and obtain his own tv talk show. Producers who understand the wealth of history don’t let treasures disappear. I believe in Queens and Kings ascending to their throne and of course, passing the baton to new Kings and Queens for this is how legends and true icons are made. Do you agree that Wendy Williams Show is still on Fi-yah. Shoot me an email to Disilgold@aol.com !

Some reported sites aired a semi-nude photo of one of the Cheetah Girls and guess what, some top officials of MACY’S banned them from guest appearing in the Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was apparently a publicity stunt for one of the girls to appear to be more sexy, but it backfired. We won’t mentionher name since the artist has not come forward that it was indeed her. More than likely, lawyers are being drawn up to prove a photoshop disaster, but this is highly unlikely.

One of the girls apparently may have instructed a publicist to release photos and pretend the photos were taken from a stolen lap top. The Cheetah girls may now be banned from the channel they are on once concerned parents find out.

Hannah Montana got away with suggestive photos on a magazine, but these starlets are now in hot water and may have messed up their appeal to a young audience. They simply are too young and immature looking to be taken serious in any adult roles and it was just a bad move and embarrassment.

The buzz is this proves that these particular media sites are undercover paid pr sites for artists begging for the wrong attention since such defaming photos should conjure up retaliation. Thus far, almost every self-exploited artist on these media sites sales have either plummeted or just didn’t take off as expected.

Some artists had the world in their hands and blew it with controversy in believing bad publicity is better than no publicity. The bottom line is every step an artist takes is critical toward longevity. Never sell your soul. Every action may come back to haunt you. In other words, don’t get caught showing your ass and you don’t even own your own tail! If certain media sites aren’t looking for you, go where you are respected and stand out with class and not just an ass.

John Legend, the Black Asiatic and sultry looking singer with smooth and intoxicating vocals who has crossed over big time into the mainstream market like Seal and doesn’t look like he’s slowing down any time soon is back with the highly anticipated album, “Evolver,” which offers an array of songs reflective of men’s dreams, desires, vulnerabilities and machoism of course, without holding back. The album is right on time, well written, arranged and produced.

A great cd cover with a monochromatic flair and bold red title letters is classic and worthy of collecting alone instead of downloading the singer’s tracks. One of his top smash hits is no other than GREEN LIGHT with a splash of Andre’s hip hop lyrics. Andre is something like a phenomenon and understated, but yet one of the top rappers out there bringing a comical, yet political pop -edge feel to his lyrics that is universal.

That said, Evolver is clearly a winner by top music standards and listeners. John Legend can indeed sing well and his looks while not the most controversial of all RNB and Pop singers on the market, his music for surely makes up for his clean church boy flair.

On the other hand, is his performance flair as evidenced on Dancing With the Stars. I just wanted to exchange John Legends lyrics, “Just a little bit closer,” With your pants could be “Just a little bit looser.” HE seemed restricted by his clothing. I think he can really dance if given more room to breathe. The leather jacket and eurocentric tapered pants just look to 1980’s. John Legend would have faired better with a Neyo inspired suit with a dash of his own personality. Maybe a top hat, Beyonce inspired hand glove and cane. I mean you’re a super star John. Add an eyecap and pocket link chain. Don’t play it so safe. Take a risk with some more creative flair…, a vest, a crisp white shirt with removable sleeves that the ladies can rip off, some dips down low and gestures to the ladies like “I’M THE IT MAN” of the year or something. In other words, a confident flair along the lines of Usher.

It will be exciting of course, to see John Legend literally EVOLVE, but right now, my nephew could have performed his act and why no matter what Janet Jackson’s sales are looking like because of the generation gap right now who just did not get to grow up with Janet, but are now discovering her knack for performance on stage which set her apart from any other entertainer and always will, demand more and more and more. An artist has to be willing to strip his soul on stage and even if it means becoming an alter ego to have an excuse, but be careful, many have not done well being an alter-ego on stage or symbol perhaps, like Prince. I say be John Legend and truly take off from where Michael Jackson left off performance wise. We’ve had James Browns and a Luther Vandross, but who is the real John Legend.

I don’t want to see that teeny bop dance anymore John. I want to see you walk out, command screams from the audience and flip the minds of the audience as a sex symbol. Why not. When you clearly have the best male voice in the business with cross over appeal, you better work it. So on that note, countdown to the real evolving of John Legend. If you disagree, email me at Disilgold@aol.com.

Beyonce performs on stage with all girl band she scouted for nationally at World Music Awards. Her efforts paid off. She’s back with a new alter-ego called Sasha Fierce where she puts on a bladed glove. If this is what it will take for the performer to give audiences what they want without acquiring backlash than so be it. Don’t blame Beyonce. Blame Sasha Fierce. Beyonce or Sasha Fierce, this former Destiny’s Child lead singer is determined to hold on to her reign. Her new album lands November 16th.

KW: In Role Models, you have a couple of co-stars, Seann and Christopher, who are better known as Stiffler and McLovin. Do you think that might happen to you after everybody sees you playing Ronnie in this picture?

BT: Yep, everybody’s going to be like, “Hi Ronnie!”

KW: How was it on the set working with them and the rest of the cast?

KW: And how was David Wain as a director?

BT: Oh, he was nice. He’s a cool person to work with. He let’s you be you.

KW: You started rapping at the age of 5. Where did that ability come from?

BT: From my musical ear. I just picked it up.

BT: They have me reading a little Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon.

KW: Do you have a tutor, or do you go to school?

BT: No, not really.

KW: Music maven Heather Covington was wondering: What music you’re listening to nowadays?

BT: I listen to Lil Wayne.

KW: Do you have any plans to make your own album?

BT: Yeah, I’m going to make a CD a little later.

KW: I heard you talking about going to church before. What’s your favorite Gospel tune?

BT: My favorite Gospel tune would probably be one of Kirk Franklin’s songs.

KW: How have you been able to be on TV so much and make so many movies and you’re not even a teenager yet?

BT: Auditions, basically. I went out to auditions.

KW: Yeah, but you have to be really good, too. Plenty of unemployed actors go to lots of auditions, but still don’t get work. What’s your secret? Have you taken a lot of acting lessons?

BT: No, I never took any acting classes.

KW: Which do you prefer comedic or dramatic roles?

BT: It doesn’t matter. They both pay the bills.

KW: [Laughs] That’s funny. You sound like a natural comedian. Have you ever considered doing standup?

BT: I’ve done it already, at the Belly Room.

KW: Where, in Hollywood?

BT: Yeah.

NEW YORK- NOVEMBER 18, 2008- Ron Gettelfinger, president of the United Auto Workers explained to Wall Street Journal that the nation’s auto crisis is the result of high gasoline prices and a Wall Street meltdown. So in other words, people decided to not buy cars or support repairs of their cars by patronizing manufacturers service departments because traveling expenses were too high and the Wall Street disaster made the company lose share holders.

However, based on Disilgold insiders, many believe that companies like General Motors and Ford Motor Co. make cheap cars that can’t compete with foreign cars and American’s simply aren’t buying. Bettter models should arise in 2009 and 2010 to win American’s confidence in their products once again.

Even if Obama/ Biden’s stimulus package bailed out these companies, who’s to say that over 3 million workers would be able to keep their jobs, be compensated with health care benefits and these companies would bounce back. And- who is to say the fat cats sitting at the top won’t only profit and shut down the motor companies anyway?

On the other hand, if these companies are not bailed out and forced to file chapter 11, our economy will suffer greatly. America would send a clear message that it is broke and be left vulnerable to predators. Remember, history repeats itself.

Perhaps, one unified motor company willing to stay in business for the long run could be supported and allot workers from other companies to join its forces creating a conglomerate that can be better managed by the private and government regulations so there isn’t any abuse of worker’s rights. People need cars and should be able to finance a vehicle with affordability.

While competition is important, times are too severe for America to let all of its motor companies go bust. Too much money is heading overseas for foreign parts and vehicles. The American infrustructure weakens. Something has to be done, but Americans need assurance that the bail out isn’t just for the wealthy fat cats headed out the door.

READ MORE FROM ELECTION NIGHT.

Nov. 5, 2008

Dear Brother Obama,

You have no idea, really, of how profound this moment is for us. Us being the black people of the Southern United States. You think you know, because you are thoughtful, and you have studied our history. But seeing you deliver the torch so many others before you carried, year after year, decade after decade, century after century, only to be struck down before igniting the flame of justice and of law, is almost more than the heart can bear. And yet, this observation is not intended to burden you, for you are of a different time, and, indeed, because of all the relay runners before you, North America is a different place. It is really only to say: Well done. We knew, through all the generations, that you were with us, in us, the best of the spirit of Africa and of the Americas. Knowing this, that you would actually appear, someday, was part of our strength. Seeing you take your rightful place, based solely on your wisdom, stamina and character, is a balm for the weary warriors of hope, previously only sung about.

I would advise you to remember that you did not create the disaster that the world is experiencing, and you alone are not responsible for bringing the world back to balance. A primary responsibility that you do have, however, is to cultivate happiness in your own life. To make a schedule that permits sufficient time of rest and play with your gorgeous wife and lovely daughters. And so on. One gathers that your family is large. We are used to seeing men in the White House soon become juiceless and as white-haired as the building; we notice their wives and children looking strained and stressed. They soon have smiles so lacking in joy that they remind us of scissors. This is no way to lead. Nor does your family deserve this fate. One way of thinking about all this is: It is so bad now that there is no excuse not to relax. From your happy, relaxed state, you can model real success, which is all that so many people in the world really want. They may buy endless cars and houses and furs and gobble up all the attention and space they can manage, or barely manage, but this is because it is not yet clear to them that success is truly an inside job. That it is within the reach of almost everyone.

I would further advise you not to take on other people’s enemies. Most damage that others do to us is out of fear, humiliation and pain. Those feelings occur in all of us, not just in those of us who profess a certain religious or racial devotion. We must learn actually not to have enemies, but only confused adversaries who are ourselves in disguise. It is understood by all that you are commander in chief of the United States and are sworn to protect our beloved country; this we understand, completely. However, as my mother used to say, quoting a Bible with which I often fought, “hate the sin, but love the sinner.” There must be no more crushing of whole communities, no more torture, no more dehumanizing as a means of ruling a people’s spirit. This has already happened to people of color, poor people, women, children. We see where this leads, where it has led.

A good model of how to “work with the enemy” internally is presented by the Dalai Lama, in his endless caretaking of his soul as he confronts the Chinese government that invaded Tibet. Because, finally, it is the soul that must be preserved, if one is to remain a credible leader. All else might be lost; but when the soul dies, the connection to earth, to peoples, to animals, to rivers, to mountain ranges, purple and majestic, also dies. And your smile, with which we watch you do gracious battle with unjust characterizations, distortions and lies, is that expression of healthy self-worth, spirit and soul, that, kept happy and free and relaxed, can find an answering smile in all of us, lighting our way, and brightening the world.

We are the ones we have been waiting for.

In Peace and Joy,
Alice Walker

Disilgold Soul Staff says: Alice Walker has come from heaven on earth to protect Barack Obama as mama and knows that relaxation may indeed quell tensions in the world if seen at it’s highest level and is great advice no matter how stressed one may become. He holds the highest job and while rest is not an option, he has the right to make it a rule and from that image alone, people will feel restored daily Ms. Walker. You are a genius. Finally, God fuels angels and what may seem like aging on the outside is really youth on the inside for someone as dedicated as Barack Obama. We must get ready to embrace his rapid aging through his 4 years for work like his requires the strength of a spider to spin a web and we all know how fragile that process can be. JUST IN: BARACK OBAMA’s HAIR DRESSER SAYS HE SEEMS VERY RELAXED! GOOD FOR OBAMA! HE’S GOING TO LOOK FABULOUS ON INAGURATION DAY!

Based on polls and surverys, here are 19 reasons why I beleive Barack Obama won the presidential election.

1. Barack Obama exercised his right to vote. His vote made a difference like so many African Americans who have not voted for years, but came out to represent over 60 million votes beating McCain’s votes by almost ten million votes. Every single vote counted! People didn’t give in to intimidation or negativity. Some folks died during this election process as victims of hate crime. Others died hating.

The first thing I did was get down on my knees and pray for humanity to quell their hatred toward the results. I prayed there would be no riots or hate crimes. Then I somehow got my new kindergartens who have never been in school to write letters to Barack Obama for they are the first generation of youth to witness a black president to take office.

Some will argue that if we as Americans are to be agents of change than why not address Barack Obama as just “president,” but even I know and any blind person can see he is a black man. He was always black. Any man who chants what do we want and are we fired up is a black man who knows his roots. The only letter missing from Barack’s name to spell out black is “L” for love. The American people added this letter on November 4th.

2. Barack Obama lead nearly a flawless campaign with advisors who were able to counteract every projected counter punch. This strategizing has never been seen in the history of elections proving that running an election is no different than a teacher planning her day to teach children. When you plan for success you achieve your mission with flying colors. It was unfortunate that one of his chief advisors died just a few days before election of a massive heart attack. America felt that heart attack.

3. Bruce Springsteen’s endorsement made a huge difference in swaying swing voters. Bruce is America. He represents that “white all American bred boy” who didn’t grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth. His performance as well as Jennifer Hudson’s for another event, just captured the nation. Music brings the world together. There were other artists like the Obama girl, and Christina Aguillera’s plea for people to get out in vote. Some folks post election campaigning encouraged people to vote just a day or two before, but for Disilgold.com, we’ve had the message CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN on the site since the beginning of the year.

Many media entities were clearly irresponsible and only showed results in intervals before the election to gain rankings and jump on the bandwagon at the last minute instead of encouraging people to register . I personally got a few dozen people to register and it made a difference in New York. New York rocked the vote!

4. Right before the election, America suffered one of the worse stock market crashes in history since the Great Depression. This sense of despair led people to stray away from supporting the Bush era. Failed Bushonomics made folks not see Republican of Democrat, but change. Regardless, Bush will go down in history for inviting Barack Obama to the White House to ease his transition as a first black tenant, and hand him the keys the day he steps into office.

5. Barack Obama’s message of “Change We Can Believe In” and “Yes We Can” became a self-fulfilling prophecy as folks at the very last minute decided to go out and vote despite earlier exit polls that clearly showed McCain ahead earlier on. Palin did not help McCain lose the race. She actually got many supporters out that ordinarily would not have come out who simply did not want a black man in office. this is evident by the majority of southern states who voted for McCain. She will be back in 2012.

6. Being that the race exceeded beyond 22 months, people from all races began to wake up and realize that there is a strong possibility that we may have the first African-American president in history. The GOP TRUST anti-Obama/Biden ads added a feeling of disgust to voters who felt like those old-fashioned brow-beating techniques were a dirty last minute trick that should not be tolerated. It’s called the “Bamboozle Effect.” America expected an upset the day before, but prayer and people’s spiritual faith unified the country. Dr. Martin Luther King’s Dream lived on. His message CARRIED HOME on November 4, 2008. Dr. Martin Luther King said, ” When we get to the promise land!” and Barack Obama said, “I promise you!” The correlation snd torch bearing symbolism are all there.

7. Barack Obama was by far one of the most eloquent, well dressed and fit presidential candidates since Robert F. Kennedy. He quickly became a Rock star and once a rock star always a rock star. Rock stars cross color lines and transcend all cultural barriers. Barack became universal. Even countries over seas were routing for him. His image is something like a phenom. People are obsessed with what goes on behind closed doors with Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. Already, the world is eager to find out all about their first romantic dinner since winning the election as a team. However, I am sure that the Camelot era of the Kennedy’s will not be fabricated to take centerstage for there is much work to do.

8. Barack Obama laid out his plans for change in front of America’s eyes. This was an important move. He also, authored works that clearly defined his character such as in Dreams of My Father and The Audacity of Hope. Some people talk the talk, but others walk the walk. Barack Obama is indeed a top organizer. Those skills will carry over well when he takes office.

9. The Hip Hop Community was very instrumental in getting young people to Rock the Vote. They made getting involved with the voting process fashionable and hip and while many of those hip hoppers never showed up and several ballots were missing that were not turned in on time from voting drives, the Hip Hop community involvement created the necessary excitement for events and rallies to form to spread the word since rap is a universal form of music all cultures enjoy. Many continued props to Jay Z, Sean Combs, Nas, KRS 1 and even 50 Cent. All of their support toward their own charities and efforts were well noted although many entities failed to report their good deeds.

10. MYSPACE and several social networks exposed the importance of this election to future young voters. Many people turned their profiles into Barack Obama profiles which set off the hope factor into action in following pursuit of an old adage, “If you can think it, you can achieve it and if you can believe it, you can win it!” or did I make that one up to? Have to check my published works. It’s the only way to establish and fortify firsts without contest.

11. The Latino Black, White, Asian and Black community were unified in voting for Barack Obama. This was a beautiful moment in history and critical toward overturning swing states and even though states like Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia did not Rock the Vote.

12. Barack led a 49 city to city tour which he poured millions into. Folks refused to let this great man down who invested in his supporters state by state, community by community and neighborhood by neighborhood and still looked great. You could tell he was ready to lead this country and lose it all for America. A lot of media entities who suffered from set back effects of the writing strike were relieved and renewed.

13. Barack led a fight against a great opponent. Anyone who serves in war is to be admired for bravery, loyalty to one’s country and endurance. I know he felt like Barack Obama will have plenty time to run again, but isn’t that setting up America for that double standard where circumstances prevail over what’s morally right? Barack Obama clearly led a better campaign.

14. Oprah was very instrumental in silence through it all, but no one can forget the show she did allow Barack Obama to come before the elections. It helped America see who Barack Obama really was. Other media were very bi-partisan in that they were fair and presented both sides view points like CNN CBS, FOX, ABC news are all to be commended. I saw a lot of good in these stations and some fine journalist like Katie, Keith and even David. Does anyone consider late night hosts journalists. I do! BET addressed the issue of getting out to vote and registering in time. Sirrius Radio debates tuned in over 35 million listeners and I am sure were very instrumental. Micahel Baisden showed a lot of support early on and reaches a nationally syndicated audience. Saturday Night Live’s parody’s helped America get over the curiousity effect and America realized they were already tired of Palin. The exploitation factor damaged her reputation. The image of her bobbing her head with hands tossed in the air seemed ill contrived and mocked the Hip Hop community. BARACK REMAINED professional at all times. His children looked stable and happy. This is key because a stable family means the president can run this country.

15. Jesse Jackson’s major slip up eluded to the fact that Barack Obama doesn’t see black or white, but he sees blue from sky to ocean and that which surrounds America. Jeremiah Wright said all of the things American opposing forces would say anyway. And Tavis Smiley only reinforced key issues that would have been brought to light anyways. In other words, what appeared like disciples of destruction toward Obama helped in a big way. And no one can forget Reverend Al Sharpton’s struggle with the Jena 6 incidents which reminded blacks just how critical it is to have representation in this increasingly racist world where the opposing few are still the majority. Where Barack Obama will not be able to address all tragic community issues, Jesse, Jeremiah, Barack, Al Sharpton and journalists like Ed Gordon will. Their legacy would have been forgotten had they not all spoke up in their own way with enough punch to fortify their placement in history. This effect is no different than Frederick Douglass, W.E.B. Du Bois and Thurgood Marshall all having opposing opinions on the U.S.A.’s judiciary system. Without opposition there is no progress.

If one person tells just one thousand people that they got a call from Barack Obama, the buzz gets around and it’s easier for polls to reflect supporters and project winners. The calls were from the heart and will leave behind a legacy to those who received those calls.

This was instrumental. I also, commend events like the African American Pavilion at Book Expo which issues Barack Obama an award for Book fo the Year way before the election and announced he would be our next president. Motivation, recognition and support goes a long way in helping boost a candidates over all morale. Don’t think for a minute that even the most successful people are not affected by awards and honors.

You can print millions of marketing tools, set up a site asking for donations, tour every city, attend every function commanding thousands in donations for one dinner plate, gain endorsements from supporters, take on a tireless advertising campaigns, evade all viral markets, gain a publicity team, volunteer callers, expose your plan or change and study the course of what great leaders have done, plus have a team of eyes to monitor any adversities, but with so many opposing forces, this time God intervened and made Barack Obama the chosen one.

20. Bonus: The literary community became an agent for change on millions of forums with hundreds to thousands of members where support for any one candidate can be lethal. America did not just Rock the Vote, the literally killed it! Folks had made up their mind they would tear down the voting system and rebuild it by withstanding any obstacles. The effect is somewhat bibical. In fact, read the bible and see all of the self-fulfilling correlations of this massive work to what happened on November 4, 2008. YOUNITY became the agent for CHANGE. It’s clearly in the bible. Seek and ye’ shall find.

November 10, 2008- It appears from our resources that several media entities went wth a rumor that Rihanna collapsed on stage while performing in Australia alongside Chris Brown for their duet rendition of the mega hit, Umbrella. However, after Disilgold.com examined actual video footage, it is evident and clear that she walked off stage, motioned the audience that she wasn’t well and since those reported rumors, we hear she is okay.

Several false rumors circulated in less than a few hours claiming Rihanna is pregnant, has the flu, was drugged, motioned to get off the stage and suffering from same mysterious symptoms as Janet Jackson while recently performing on stage.

Disilgold concludes an old fashioned illness once experienced as a former model. It’s called sleep deprivation, body exhaustion and dehydration. Performers often fail to realize that they need double the intake of not just water, but vitamins. Your body sweats more under hot lights and especially while wearing those rubber pant suits that don’t allow the body to breathe. This happened to comedian Martin Lawrence who actually collapsed while wearingmultiple sweat suits while jogging to burn extra fat. Add an adrenalin rush while performing to a crowd of screaming fans and you’ve got one celeb in need of a few hours of rest, water and real home cooking. Don’t forget she is performing next to Chris Brown. That’s enough to steal the artist’s energy. Keri Hilson should have been there as back up to sing her ENERGY song, because Chris clearly won this battle. Over all, it was very intelligent for the singer to actually walk off the stage before passing out which would have definately caused Chris Brown to stop performing and come to ther aid.

If Rihanna had fallen and collapsed as falsely reported by several media entities, it would have been the end of Chris Brown’s career to leave her there on the ground while performing. Due to the poor resolution of video online it wasn’t evident to viewers who actually believed the commetary of several sites who falsely claimed the singer collapsed.
